The aim of the course is to understand the nature and object of political marketing as well as to present the methods of effective communication management of problems - issues related to the image of a candidate / politician.
The course addresses political marketing strategies, the importance and ways of understanding the market, the development of the personal brand of the candidate and the political party, issues of image formation and communication both during the election campaign and and during the period of government. There is also a historical review of the implementation (or not) of political marketing and the evolution of political communication in Greece.
Upon successful completion of the course the student will be able to:
- understand the role and importance of topic management in a person's communication strategy.
- analyze and evaluate potential risks and problems that may turn into issues that will damage a person's reputation
- develop and support issue management programs for both prevention and response.
- include the shaping of the image in the communication program of a pre-election campaign of candidates / parties.
